Sorceress Circle, Ancestress Magic and more

A creative start to 2025

Hi there, I hope this finds you well and I hope you have had a beautiful beginning to 2025.

I would normally have had a podcast episode out by now, two even, and I thought I would write a post and include what I have been up to. I have been quite busy since, “Ancestress Magic” which was released in December and had little time to create a new podcast episode….here is what has been happening…

On 2oth December I held the Capricorn Solstice Ancestress Magic Gathering. It was really powerful, even more so due to the energies that were happening at the time. I had so many issues with the technology but kept going and we had a really beautiful gathering. During it we explored Biological Feminine Wisdom Keepers and journeyed to meet a benevolent, magical Ancestress. Here is a clip. After the gathering, someone asked me if I would consider holding Women’s Circles. I wasn’t sure and I decided I would ponder on it. One day, as I was cleaning out my much loved fire, the words “Sorceress Circle”, came to me. I had been exploring the etymology of the word “sorcery” and feeling into it’s energy for about a year. This resonates more with the lineages I work with and so on 4th February I held a Sorceress Circle to explore the concept and journeyed to meet our, “Sorceress Self”. In late January I was imagining how lovely it would be to play music I had created while holding sophrology/imaginal journeys. I have the basic equipment to record but it is not something I am confident with. Several times I had written in my diary, “try recording”, and each time I waved my hand at it and found something more important to do. One day I wrote the same entry and underneath wrote, “JUST TRY IT!”. This worked. I set up my equipment in my son’s bedroom as it is the quietest room in the house and with all the gear, no idea, I gave it a go. Within a few hours I had recorded a guitar track and four part vocal harmonies. I was so excited I took a video in case I did something to loose what I had done…..

I sent what I had to a woman named Linda Go (find her here). Amongst her many gifts she has a talent for producing music. I told her I would like it to sound like an ethereal, elven choir. Within in a week I had a beautiful track that I was able to play during the Sorceress Circle. I could hardly believe it.

Since my last podcast episode in December I also celebrated my birthday and Synodic Venus return, a cycle that happens every 8 years. I took full advantage of all the Venusian energy and took roses around places I love in nature…

And speaking of nature, I absorbed as much winter sunshine as I could. Nature is deep medicine for me and I adore the low winter sun here…

Of course, Christmas was celebrated with family and there were games, sleeps, and the gift I received from my teenage son totally surprised me…..The Gnostic Gospels! I have no idea how he knew what this was or even where to find it in a book shop. I was over the moon.

During all this creativity and activity I have had moments of deep sadness and grief. Time in the underworld, so to speak. Many of us are feeling the potency of these changing times. Personally and collectively there seems to be so much being released. I feel this is to make way for the beautiful creations we choose to bring through (hence the Sorceress Circle!) and I also know it can be really challenging at times. So I send blessings to you and your creations and dreams in 2025. With the Lunar North Node travelling through Pisces, let us dare to dream our most beautiful dreams.
